As Benjamin Franklin once said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

TeamChildren's unique, eclectic approach to transforming early childhood education is making a widespread difference in our region and beyond.

Mission Statement: TeamChildren's body-mind program aims to ensure every child has the tools and opportunities they need to contribute and compete effectively in today's 21st century digital, global environment.

Presently our major areas of focus are on the following:
  • Transforming early childhood education
  • Promoting the benefits and practices of Rolfing/massage for babies and children
  • Ending the Digital Divide
  • Promoting youth training and development in the nonprofit sector

Recent brain research is making an increasingly compelling case for the importance of early childhood development. The effects of poverty on the brain are well known; according to the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Birth Cohort (ECLS-B), the differences in proficiency levels of those living in poverty will start developing as soon as a child is born.

The National Education Association designed the C.A.R.E. Guide, strategies for closing the Achievement Gap. It focuses on four factors that affect student achievement: Culture, Abilities, Resilience, and Effort.

TeamChildren, too, addresses these factors. Our program connects cultural experiences to what is taught with our completely customizable learning software allowing children to choose what they want to learn. TeamChildren recognizes the abilities students have learned in their homes and communities that do not show up on standardized tests by letting children learn at their own interest and own pace to strengthen their existing skills. Our program cultivates resilience in students to help them persevere in school despite repeated failure or discouragement they may have experienced in their environment by removing tension from their bodies, therefore giving the child a better sense of self-worth. Finally, TeamChildren exerts endless effort to motivate children to submerge themselves in the possibility of moving forward through their newfound tools and opportunities our program offers.
